[ Unreal Engine plugin ]

Factory
Planner

Lay out the floor, check that everything fits and that forklifts and people can get round it, then hand over the plan as spreadsheets and a CAD drawing.

  • Unreal Engine 5.8
  • C++ and Blueprint
  • Data-asset driven
  • Demo level
  • CSV and DXF
[ Scroll ] One plan, start to finish
[01] / [06]

Start with the building

Open your factory level, or the demo one. The plan sits on top of what is already there, so nothing in your level has to change.

[02] / [06]

Cut it open

Sectioning brings a cut plane down through the roof and walls. What is above it is hidden, ghosted, or sliced away pixel by pixel.

[03] / [06]

Check the clearance

Every machine carries its own clearance zone. When something gets inside one, the zone turns red and the clash is listed.

[04] / [06]

Mark the floor and measure

Draw walkways, storage and offices as floor zones, and measure lines, paths and areas that snap to whatever you click.

[05] / [06]

Drive the route

Pick a vehicle and a start and end. The route is found for that vehicle's width, with its length, time and narrowest gap.

[06] / [06]

Pin notes and export

Pin notes where they matter, then export a CSV per tool, a summary and a DXF of the floor for the people who were not in the room.

[ 02 ] Tools

Everything
a layout needs

Nine tools on one toolbar, sharing one selection, one undo history and one save. Hints in the corner of the screen always say what to click next.

[01]

Place and move anything

Drag and drop equipment from an inventory, or press on any object and drag it. Objects already in your level join the plan the moment you move them.

[02]

Clearance zones

Every machine gets front, back, side and overhead clearance. Zones turn red when something is inside them, and every clash is listed.

[03]

Measure and area

Straight lines, paths through many points and floor areas, snapped to the surfaces you click, in metres or feet.

[04]

Floor zones

Mark production, storage, walkways and offices. Keep-clear zones flag anything standing in them. Import zones from a CSV or DXF drawing.

[05]

Route checker

Check forklift, AGV and pedestrian routes for length, travel time, the narrowest gap and tight turns. Routes recheck themselves as the layout changes.

[06]

Sectioning

Cut the building open from above or the side, hiding or ghosting what is in the way, down to slicing meshes pixel by pixel.

[07]

Notes

Pin notes to machines and areas. They follow the object, collapse out of the way, and go out with the export.

[08]

Undo, save and autosave

Every change in every tool can be undone. Plans save to named slots with a browser, and autosave keeps a backup.

[09]

Export to Excel and CAD

One click writes a CSV per tool, a plain-text summary and a DXF of the floor zones, in metres from your chosen origin.

[ 03 ] For developers

Use it as is.
Or build on it.
